November Club Meeting

Our next meeting is this Wednesday, November 18, 2015 @ 6:30PM.

We will start the meeting at 7:00 PM, please come early to meet and greet everyone. Social gathering from 6:30pm where beverages and appetizers are available for purchase and club members, newcomers and non-members can meet and socialize. Dinner menu available if desired.

Our Guest Speaker this Month:
Mickey Anderson, co-owner of Fish Tech. Mickey will tie one of his favorite flies and discuss the evolution of fly tying over the past 40 years.

Mickey has worked in fishing tackle retail stores for 37 years, the first 17 years with Anglers Inn. Mickey has taught fly tying classes for 38 years. He is a Fly Fishing Federation certified instructor and has taught fly fishing for 36 years.

Mickey is a Utah DNR certified instructor of women and has taught for the Sage rod company in Utah, Idaho and Montana. Mickey’s credentials include: Sage Elite Pro staff; Cortland Line Company Pro staff; Umpqua contract fly designer; Co-founder and main soft goods designer for the Rising Company. Mickey has fished across North America, from the Northwest Territories to Mexico, and is a former World Record holder for Northern Pike on a fly. Mickey fishes all waters, lakes, rivers, small streams and carp ponds, and says that nymph fishing is his favorite.

The Weber River is Mickey’s 5th favorite place to fish, but don’t ask him about 1 through 4 because, well, you know, he’s a fisherman!
